A History of Bounty Hunting
Besides writing Bonds, I also will do my own bounty hunting on anyone who jumps bail. Sometimes a bounty hunter will sometimes be called a “skip tracer”. But that’s not a completely accurate title. In some states bounty hunters need no license (only consent from a bondsman) and in others, like California, training and certification is required. One of the great things about bounty hunting is that we have very few restrictions. And we don’t need a warrant. Look up the case Taylor v. Taintor. This case gave us sweeping rights to the person which we have bonded out of jail. So, word to the wise, pay your bondsman, and show up to court.
