I’ve been asked before, some questions, regarding bail. I have come to the conclusion that many people do not know the bail process, and its actually quite simple. California state law requires that a bondsman charge 10 percent of whatever the bail amount is. So for example, lets say your bail is set at 20k. We must charge you 2,000. AND Buyer beware for bondsman who will do it 50 dollars down. Sounds good now, but wait for the hidden charges that will arise LATER. You can avoid a bondsman all together by simply posting the full amount yourself, but you don’t get your money back until the case is closed. So if you can part ways with 20k for six months…congrats. Otherwise….WHO YOU GONNA CALL? Me! Have a great night.
